David Rosen is a strategic communications consultant with 40-plus years of experience in journalism, public relations, public affairs and marketing communication.
After earning a master’s degree in journalism from Boston University, Mr. Rosen worked from 1968 to 1977 as a reporter for The Day (New London, CT), a general assignment and political reporter for the Boston Herald and Massachusetts State House Bureau Chief for United Press International.
Since 1978 he has served as director of public information for the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission, chief of staff for former Massachusetts Lt. Governor Evelyn Murphy and chief communications officer for Harvard University, The University of Chicago, Brandeis University, Yeshiva University and Emerson College. He has taught at the College of Communication at Boston University and the Harvard Graduate school of Education.
Mr. Rosen’s consulting clients have included the U.S. General Accounting Office, the Massachusetts Housing Finance Agency, the Massachusetts Division of Insurance, the Judge Baker Children’s Center, the New England Board of Higher Education, Radcliffe College, Clark University and Cristo Rey Boston High School.
